Purpose-built for VISA Global Logistics, this development provides approximately 6000 Sq m of warehousing, 300 Sq m of office space and 13,000 Sq m of containerised hardstand. It is situated in Melbourne’s south east within the emerging Nexus Industrial Estate and forms part of Salta Properties Inland Port Strategy.
Significant project milestones included the design and construction of the 13,000 Sq m hardstand. This specialised container-rated pavement was comprised of 6 large individual post-tension slabs – each pour containing approximately 900 cubic metres of concrete and over 5 km of high-tensile steel cable.
The project was completed on time in October 2018, which was largely attributed to our strategic decision to provide an all-weather site by cement stabilising the existing sub-base and then capping with cement treated crushed rock.
